When it comes to food, I love experimenting with diverse cuisines. As a kid I always used to observe my grandmother and mother, they never used a recipe book; they just seem to know everything. I only really started cooking when I moved out and self taught myself. My recipes are easy to follow and I use fresh ingredients and a range of spices, all thanks to my Indian heritage. Almost 99% of the ingredients used by me are found in every kitchen these days. I have a back garden where I grow some of the herbs and vegetables that I use in my dishes. If there is any ingredient that you don’t have or cannot find, let me know, I may even ship the stuff to you (absolutely free!) (United Kingdom only). Before any of my recipes are uploaded, they have been tried and tested few times on my husband (lol). He is my partner in cooking and adds motivation to be more creative. My husband is a hotel school graduate so I am blessed with having him prepare the mise-en-place. Trust me, this comes so handy when you have to chop half a kilo of onions in five minutes! The recipe pictures on the webpage are original, unedited and taken from an iPhone or a DSLR camera.
